Background
We're switching off Employer Access in stages by user group, recently removing access for users of the school portal.
We needed to:
- let users know that Employer Access is no longer available to them
- redirect users to Check a teacher's record or Check the children's barred list
What we did
When users try to access the school portal on the teacher services homepage, they need to sign in using DfE Sign-in.
Once they're signed in, we redirect them to a static page telling them:
- we're replacing Employer Access
- they should use the new services instead
- what they can use the new services for
Users can click the section headings to access each service.
What next
We plan to switch off access for users of the Employer Access organisation portal in August. We'll put in place a similar redirect page for those users when the time comes.
