What we changed

  • added the request type, description of query, procurement stage, next key date and description to the Case summary screen
  • increased the number of procurement stages and steps, and changed their description
  • updated the details on the Case details screen

Why we changed this

Proc Ops users want more granularity when setting the procurement stage for level 4 & 5 cases. Doing this will provide more transparency on how far the procurement has progressed.

On the Update case summary screen, Proc Ops users can now change the procurement stage, level, request type, case value and source all in one place

How it works

  • open the Update case summary screen from the Case detail page to view and change the procurement stage and level
  • select the procurement stage select component to change the procurement stage of the case. The stage of ‘Need’ will be selected by default for all cases.

The procurement stages are as follows:

Stage 0 – Need

Stage 1 - Information gathering, Market analysis, Sign Participation agreement, Stage 1: Approval

Stage 2 - Tender preparation, School sign-off of tender pack, Out to Tender, Response compliance check, Stage 2: Approval

Stage 3 – Evaluation, Moderation, School sign-off of moderation & award decision, Stage 3: Approval

Stage 4 - Award & standstill, Handover, Procurement complete

Further considerations

Background colours used for the procurement stage menu have been taken from the tag colour palette in the GOV.UK design system. The Webaim.org Contrast checker tool was used to check the colour of the foreground text against these background colours. All checks obtained a pass for WCAG AA.
