We currently use GOV.UK branding in the header and footer of Prepare conversions and transfers.

A digital service called Prepare conversions and transfers. The phrase Prepare conversions and transfers is styled in white on a black background in the header. The footer has an Open Government Licence (OGL) disclaimer and the Crown logo.

We should use Department for Education branding according to this guidance on branding your service - Design in Department for Education.

Using DfE branding

We restructured the markup and refactored CSS rules in our prototype so it uses the DfE branded header and font stack.

A digital service called Prepare conversions and transfers. The header has the DfE logo and the phrase Prepare conversions and transfers. They are styled in white on a navy blue background.

We also removed the OGL text and crown logo from the footer.

A digital service footer. It includes links to get support, give feedback, read the accessibility statement, and clear data.

Next steps

DfE's Head of Design will create a working group to understand how to build this as a DfE component with the features we need. For example:

  • search
  • desktop / tablet layouts
